Description

JFFS provides grants and offers programs that ensure:

  • lifesaving humanitarian services
  • care and connection for seniors
  • educational opportunities for youth
  • leadership on our campuses
  • a strong relationship with Israel and global Jewry

Our entire staff team is comprised of professionals with expertise in social service delivery, campaign development, marketing/communications, finance, data, planning and outreach. Together, we ensure that our programs reach the widest possible audience; that we build community in every aspect of our work; that we offer numerous points of entry for volunteers and newcomers; and, most importantly, that we raise the funds needed to underpin essential programs and services. Many of our programs serve both the Jewish community and the wider community - people of all faiths, ethnicities, and ages.

Through our Family Services division, we provide Lifelines services and programs that encompass crisis intervention, emergency assistance, Adopt a Family, support groups, employment/financial empowerment programs and professional counseling. The Family Services division also offers a broad range of programs and services for older adults, including Holocaust survivor services and programs, counseling, bereavement groups, care management, consultation, and our Silver Streak transportation program which serves seniors, people with disabilities who cannot drive, and cancer patients.

Our lay leadership -- the Board of Jewish Federation & Family Services and its committees -- provides strategic planning, financial and program oversight and, most importantly, ensures that donor dollars are invested wisely to deliver first-class services and programs. As a result of our outstanding financial practices, JFFS has received, for the second year in a row, the coveted Four-Star rating of Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator.

Jewish Federation & Family Services is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our tax ID number is 95-2407026.
