The Day Home is looking for stewardship of our Children's Garden, specifically someone who has experience caring for chickens!

Support our mission of educating young children in a stable and nurturing environment by maintaining our garden, caring for our chickens and sharing your knowledge with preschool aged children.

Stewardship duties include: planning, planting, maintaining and harvesting a seasonal vegetable and herb garden, managing a worm and compost bin, caring for three chickens and their coop, and occasionally overseeing other volunteers on garden projects. We are looking for a weekly commitment (1-2 times a week) for at least two months.

Experience working in a school garden or with children is a plus.
