Young Fathers Reconnect is currently looking for male professionals to become mentors to young fathers between the ages of 18 and 25.
Our Mission: To provide returning young fathers with consistent and caring mentors that will support and guide them as they transition into the community and become self sufficient.
Our Goals: To promote responsible parenting, family engagement, life skills and self-sufficiency.
Eligibility Requirements:
Male's only 25+ years of age
Commit to being a Mentor for at least 12 months.
Comfortable working with young men coming out of correctional or detention facilities.

Description
The George Gervin Youth Center is not just for youth; it is a resource for the entire community. From a pre-K through high school academic academy to retirement housing for those age 62 and older, there is something for everyone within our walls.
At GGYC, we recognize the need for a safe, friendly environment where children can receive a quality education as well as find extra-curricular and educational activities that keep them off the street. Likewise, it can be a challenge for retired community members to find affordable housing and volunteer opportunities close to home. We address both of these concerns with our varied programs that we offer to the community of San Antonio.
