Board Member Job Description
TREASURER
- Attend all meetings of the board and the general membership.
- Maintain detailed financial records for the corporation using board approved software programs. At a minimum, these records should consist of all income sources, bank deposits, disbursements, a balance sheet, a profit and loss statement, budget reports, etc.
- Retain records in a secure and organized manner including, but not limited to, bank statements, expense reimbursement forms, deposit records, invoices, receipts, all supporting documentation, vendor contracts, etc.
- Ensure that disbursements are supported by a receipt/invoice and are authorized by the appropriate board member or director/producer unless they are routine expenses.
- Pay all bills in a timely manner and in accordance with current disbursement policies.
- Reconcile bank statements monthly.
- Prepare and submit financial reports at each meeting of the board and the general membership.
- Prepare and present the annual financial report to the general membership at the September general membership meeting, as required in the by-laws.
- Ensure that financial records are reviewed or audited annually by a certified public accountant and that income tax forms and other IRS / State / Local tax related forms are filed when due. Ensure that business license fees, sales taxes and real estate taxes are paid when due.
- Provide support for all board initiatives which require financial data such as applications for grant and fund raising campaigns.
- Perform other duties at the request of the president.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Actively promote the playhouse in a positive manner throughout the community.
- Support and adhere to all board decisions and playhouse policies.
- Serve on or chair standing committees or ad hoc committees established by the president, including, but not limited to, the annual budget committee.

Officially, we are the Metropolitan Repertory Company, Inc., doing business as Oyster Mill Playhouse. Oyster Mill Playouse is a 100% volunteer driven, non-profit community theatre located in East Pennsboro township. We have operated successfully for over 40 consecutive years.
Description
Each year we present a season of eight quality productions including musicals, comedies, mysteries and dramas. Our productions are staged and performed by some of the area's most talented community players. The works of various local artists are featured in the lobby during the season.
