The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. Overall Responsibility: To supervise and oversee daily cleaning operations of the shelter
Time Commitment: 8:00 am until shelter duties are complete (Approximately 4 - 5 hours) HART could use several people (1 to 4) to fill various shifts during the week. One person could handle several shifts/days if they are interested.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Open the shelter Check phone messages Supervise, train, and be point of contact for volunteers Answer phone calls, take messages, and forward them to the appropriate individual Greet and assist visitors Assist with surrenders as needed Close the shelter Willingness to participate in shelter duties as needed
Good organizational skills Strong leadership skills Ability to communicate well with volunteers and the public.
