Kindred Hospice cares for patients and families at facilities and at home, throughout central out. Caregivers for home patients are often spouses or other family members who need a break now and then-- for appointments, errands, or just well deserved personal time. Its for those times that Kindred offers volunteers for "caregiver relief" and a caring Pat Therapy Volunteer visits the patients to shares time while the caregiver is away. Facilities patients receive visits two to fours a month depending on the schedule of volunteer.
Pet Therapy Volunteers provide caring visits to patients with their registered therapy dogs. The pet therapy volunteer team must be registered or willing to become registered.
Volunteer orientation are offered whenever it is convenient for you to meet, Monday to Friday. Please call 740-263-2248 or email for more information.
