ORGANIZATION: National MS Society - Gateway Area Chapter

As event season is upon us we are looking for office volunteers to help out! Our office volunteers are required to complete/pass a short at no cost background check since at times they will help with donations or participant information. Most volunteers try to come in weekly and help with tasks for that week or ongoing projects they are working on. Activities include:

  • Data Entry
  • Phone Calls
  • Event Prep
  • ...and more!
Phone calls and data entry are key right now as we are asking participants to join us again for events!

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and nationwide network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking volunteers to the MS cause is the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers four key fund-raising activities:

  • Bike MS
  • Walk MS

The Society also engages volunteers to help influence lawmakers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people living with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as:

  • Marketing/Communications
  • Public relations
  • Corporate and donor development
  • Medical, legal, administrative.
