About

Community Based Mentoring

Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak
El Paso County, Colorado

Community Based Mentoring: Volunteers are matched with a child (ages 9 to 12) to be that youth's mentor and friend - to be a positive influence on that kiddo's life.

Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the child two to four times a month. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the mentors and their match relationship, providing advice, assistance, suggestions and counsel.

Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and be able to pass an extensive background check (including an FBI background check).

This is our traditional mentoring program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters is best and most known for, nationally.

Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters Pikes Peak is in need of men to volunteer as mentors (Big Brothers). We have several young kiddos enrolled as Little Brothers waiting to be matched with a Big. Please consider volunteering today! Also, please help spread the word!
