Summer is quickly approaching which means summer reading and lots of fun opportunities to volunteer! This year San Jose Public Library is hosting our first ever Summer Learning Challenge. The Summer Learning Challenge is similar to our Summer Reading programs of years past with a focus on reading and learning throughout summer ultimately preparing kids for the upcoming school year. This program is a staple of summers at the library, and we couldn't make it happen without the help of many volunteers.
This year, we are recruiting adults (18+) to help the Summer Learning Challenge as Summer Learning Ambassadors. This is a commitment of 1-3 hours per week through June and July. Volunteers will help to register and support participants throughout the program and are encouraged to engage with the library's patrons making the experience fun for everyone! If you're interested in more information, please follow this link (https://bit.ly/2HtH5vc). You can register at this link and will be contacted with more information shortly. Please also feel free to share this opportunity with others. Everyone is welcome!
