ORGANIZATION: UNDERGROUND RAILROAD HISTORY PROJECT OF THE CAPITAL REGION

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Stephen and Harriet Myers Resdience Restored
The Stephen and Harriet Myers Resdience was the home of Stephen Myers and his wife Harriet and their four children in the mid-1850s. It was also the headquarters for the Vigilance Committee of the Underground Railroad. It is being restored by URHP and is a historic site open to the public.

We are looking for volunteers to be associated with our project to do a variety of tasks. We maintain a large garden of raised beds that need significant work. We also operate a variety of programs that require research and designing presentations. Opportunities for tour and collections training.
