Join the NC Literacy Corps to celebrate Global Youth Service Day with a Book Drive benefiting Carpenter and Harmony House Shelters! Global Youth Service Day is an annual celebration of young volunteers around the world. It is designed to encourage youth to participate in community service and service-learning and to honor those who have contributed to their communities through voluntary commitment. The event will take place on Friday, April 20th from 1-5 p.m in the High Point Public Library. We are looking for volunteers to work 1 to 2 hour shifts.
Volunteer Duties:
Greeting donors and helping them sign in
Sorting the donated books by grade level
Putting stickers on the books
