We are hosting our annual blood drive in the Washington DC area to help save the lives of mothers who need blood to survive childbirth. The blood drive will take place at the March for Moms rally on the National Mall
We are in need of a few volunteers to make sure the event is a success. Volunteer roles include: greet and check-in blood donors when they arrive, help direct blood donors to the bloodmobile, and encourage March for Moms attendees to donate blood. We also need help in promoting the event in the greater Washington DC area.
For more details about the event, visit www.heroesformoms.com and https://www.facebook.com/events/175385679772959/. For more details about the March for Moms, visit www.marchformoms.org

Mission Statement
Hope for Accreta Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps to raise support and awareness for all that have been affected by Placenta Accreta, Increta or Percreta.
Description
The Hope for Accreta Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides education, fundamental support and medical needs funding for families and who have been diagnosed with Placenta Accreta, Increta or Percreta. Accreta is a condition which affects 1 in 333 pregnancies and occurs when the placenta invades the uterine wall during pregnancy. There are three stages to this life threatening condition. Each stage of Accreta decreases the possibilities of the mother’s survival rate. There is a high probability that blood transfusions are necessary during delivery to save the life of the mother and child. Many times, the family concerns can stem from the lack of knowledge and/or ability of the local hospitals and doctors who are providing care for them. The Hope for Accreta Foundation supports doctors through research, assisting with upgraded infusion technology, and providing the necessary tools during and after the surgery.
