Some members of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT DC-35) are volunteering their time to help paint the picnic shelters in Johnson Hollow.
Amateur painters are welcome too. They can sand and paint nearby bridges, sign posts, and the restroom stalls.
Paint and stain will be provided. We have some brushes and rollers, but if you have any you can bring, that would be great!
Wear old clothes and shoes. A ball cap or bandana is a recommended.
**Johnson Hollow is located about 4-miles into the forest, on the left side, just past the Kanawha State Forest Campground.
