We invite men, women and teens (ages 12-19) to pledge Nu Sigma Theta - an international social/service organization dedicated to community service, social networking and scholarship.
Being part of Nu Sigma Theta does not take up much of your time. Starting in August, 2018 we will have at least one in-person activity per month and the rest of our activities will be virtual. If you only want to do virtual work, that's okay too. As we track all of the activities that our members complete, teenagers would be able to use this experience for high school community service credit. When we meet, we generally meet in Downtown Rahway and once every three months, we collaborate with the New York Chapter and meet in Midtown, Manhattan (generally within three blocks of New York Penn Station).
But we are not all work. For those who are interested, we will be beginning dance, step, basketball and bowling teams for youth and adults as well as other social activities and trips.
We especially need people who are strong writers (our teens work with other teens in other countries to help them develop their English writing skills) and our adults will be helping us develop a youth development nonprofit that will serve children and teens in New York and New Jersey.
Registration ends THIS WEEK (4/21). If you would like to join us please complete an application at souldeevas.wixsite.com/neos/special-recruitment or just respond here. You can invite others to join the organization with you (and if they do, you will earn community outreach service credit). Parents who have children younger than 12 can join and do service projects with their children.
