Relay For Life - hour 24-final lap in 2016


At the American Cancer Society, we believe we can achieve a world without cancer. But we can’t do it alone - we must come together.

Our local Relay For Life is almost here but we are still in need of Day-of Volunteers!

Relay For Life is a 24 hr community fundraising event where community members come together to celebrate our local cancer survivors and remember those we've lost to cancer. Festivities Start Saturday May 5th and will last all day. It's a free- family-friendly event and everyone is welcome.

Volunteer opportunities:

Saturday May 5th

  • 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM
    • Help with setting up Registration
    • Help setting up Cancer Survivor's tent
      • put up decorations
      • hand out t-shirts
    • Welcome and direct Teams to their campsites
  • 10: 00 AM to 7:00 PM
    • Help attend the registration table for a shift of 2 to 3 hrs
  • 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
    • Help at the Luminaria station
      • take luminaria donations
      • decorate luminaira bags
    • Help set up luminaria bags around the track and light up candles (starts around 7:00 PM)

If any of the volunteer opportunities interest you, please let us know your availability and we would love to work with you. 13 yrs and younger are welcome as long as they have proper supervision for their own safety.
