Finger Knitting or Friendship Bracelets

ORGANIZATION: Hospitality House Youth Development

We're looking for individuals or groups to teach a group of 5-10 kids how to finger knit. If you're able to bring yarn that would be wonderful. It would be great to have you or your group choose an date and time that would work best for you. Ideally for an hour. We're flexible within the dates and times I've mentioned.

About Hospitality House Youth Development

Location:

P.O. Box 11008, 1220 Logan Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411, US

Mission Statement

Hospitality House Youth Development provides a Christian outreach focused on the spiritual, intellectual and physical development of inner city youth and their families.

Description

Hospitality House Youth Development, founded in 1960 and incorporated in 1963, is committed to developing responsible career staff persons to reach out to urban youth, ages 5-18, in their physical and intellectual development, their social integration and their spiritual birth and growth in Jesus Christ. Program leadership is responsive to parents, school authorities, youth, churches, and community organizations. Staff members are maturing, compassionate adults with a consistent personal commitment to Jesus Christ as evidenced by their life style that conforms to Biblical disciplines. They serve as vital role models in a world that so desperately needs such living examples. We believe that any project or program is only as good as the staff person directing it and the volunteers who support them. Quality staff and volunteers will develop quality programs and lasting relationships with young people. There is a real concern for "walking through life with youth." Programs generally fall into the following areas: 1. Education 2. Athletics 3. Performing Arts 4. Small Group Active Learning Environments. These programs provide a framework to address our long range objectives of training youth in the Christian faith and encouraging their development as responsible, contributing members of their families, schools, churches and communities. Hospitality House operates on a holistic model, meeting the emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs of all youth.
