ocMaker Challenge

The ocMaker Challenge is a county-wide competition that challenges student teams from middle and high school to "Design and build, or significantly repurpose a product that solves a want or need." Using 3D modeling, 3D printers, microcontrollers and other materials, students fabricate unique prototypes of their own design, and will be exhibiting their final products at Chapman University on Friday, May 10.
**3D printing/technology experience not required!**

For judging, there are two phases:

Phase 1 - On Monday, April 29, two weeks prior to our exhibit, you will receive a link to view and score student videos (approximately 12 videos/no longer than 2-1/2 minutes each) - you’ll be able to watch and score from any computer/tablet/phone.

Phase 2 - On Friday, May 10, in-person final scoring of exhibits will take place at Chapman University anytime between 9 am and 5 pm. Judging Phase 2 will take about an hour. Attendance at this phase of judging is crucial as we are not able to finalize scores to indicate winners unless we have your scores from both phases.

Judges will select which level of prototype they’d like to score (short descriptions are provided on the registration page).
