Proctoring is one of the highest needs at our schools, and volunteer proctors are vital for ensuring that our students can actually take the very exams they've studied so hard for! We are looking for volunteers who can help proctor during exam period, which will be held from May 23 through June 8.
If you are able to disconnect from electronics (a very rare type these days!), have the discipline to help keep distractions to a minimum, and can contribute a few hours of your day, please let us know!

Please Note: We typically do not have access to students over the summer months; therefore, individual volunteer placements for School/Reading Buddies, Tutors, or Mentors are made from September through the end of March each school year. While you may complete our Volunteer Interest Form at any time, please keep this Sept-March timeframe in mind if you are interested in one of these volunteer roles that is matched to an individual student
Communities In Schools believes all students deserve five basic resources: A one-on-one relationship with a caring adult; A safe place to learn and grow; A healthy start and a healthy future; A marketable skill to use upon graduation; A chance to give back to peers and the community. Communities In Schools is part of the nation's largest stay-in-school network helping young people continue their education. Some of the challenges students face include family conflict, poor self esteem, drug and alcohol abuse, juvenile crime, illiteracy, poor health, and teen pregnancy.
