We are looking for SUPER HEROES!
Our dedicated volunteers become part of the health care team, enhancing the patient and family experience by meeting specific needs.
During COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers are needed more than ever! Patients are isolated from family and friends due to safety restrictions. This isolation is resulting in depression and loneliness and the desire to give up.
YOU can help by doing in-person visits with patients who are in their home, adult care home, or larger assisted living facilities.
We are looking for kind and caring volunteers. As a hospice volunteer you not only provide companionship to a client in need, but you provide moral support and help with activities that will enrich their (and your) lives. You may enjoy reading together, watching TV, working on a craft project, having a conversation, and/or assist with respite care.
If you don't feel comfortable doing in-person visits or for assisted living facilities not allowing volunteers to visit, you can still help! You could write encouraging notes and letters to them! How easy is that?!
If you possess a unique talent or skill and have time share it with our patients and their families, please let us know. We would be delighted to have you on-board. Invisible cape provided!
Contact me today to join our team.
