Tour de Summer Camps

Tour de Summer Camps NJ is a community-wide cycling event put on by The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest New Jersey. Proceeds from the ride will fund One Happy Camper grants and need based scholarships to give more local children the opportunity to attend a Jewish summer camp. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, April 29 and features an 18, a 36, and a 62 mile route for our cyclists as well as a family-friendly route on the College of St. Elizabeth's campus. There will also be a Family Fun Day happening at our Start and Finish for riders of all ages and anyone interested in learning more about the Jewish summer camps in the area.

This volunteer shift will help serve lunch to riders, volunteers and their families.

Mission Statement

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest is the largest Jewish philanthropy in New Jersey and the eighth largest Federation in the country, serving the Jewish community in Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset counties. Inspired by our Jewish values, Federation cares for people in need locally, in Israel, and in 70 countries around the world.

Description

Working with our 23 local and 4 overseas partner agencies, what we accomplish together is far greater than what one organization or person can achieve alone. We are a safety net, providing counseling for families in crisis, support services for seniors and for people with disabilities and their families, and career counseling and job placement assistance for the unemployed. We invest in the future of our Jewish community by helping to make Jewish education and Jewish camping affordable for all families, and we respond to emergencies near and far, from Haiti to the Jersey shore.
