City Startup Labs (CSL) is now offering returning citizens in Charlotte, NC the opportunity to develop and exercise their entrepreneurial capabilities with an initiative through its Center of Excellence - the ReEntry Entrepreneurship Program (REEP). This project is designed to help participants develop the entrepreneurial mindset, attitude, and aptitude for success through three phases: Learn, Earn, and Build. Participants will LEARN exciting new skills in digital technology software and equipment + entrepreneurship; EARN the chance to get on-the-job training as an apprentice or continue developing their business idea; and BUILD a self-employed gig, a startup, or a 21st Century tech career.

CSL is seeking persons interested in working either as accountability partners or business coaches with individuals and teams. REEP will run for 6 months, twice a year. Accountability Partners will work with the participants throughout the initial phase, and coaches will be brought on board later - when the program reaches the EARN phase of the program. There is not a specific location where you will conduct your mentoring or coaching, but we are looking for folks located in or near Charlotte only. We will require that you meet face to face (Zoom meetings also acceptable) with your charge at least once per month.

Prior work with this population isn’t required, however, we do require that you attend an orientation.
