Are you interested in making a difference in someone's life? Do you know enjoy learning new things and meeting people from all walks of life? Are you simply wanting to give back to the community by helping seniors?

HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program) is part of the national network of State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) and is the most dependable source of FREE, unbiased, accurate, and up-to-date Medicare-related information for Southern California residents. HICAP is a program of the Council on Aging - Southern California, which has been a trusted nonprofit since 1973.

We are currently looking for volunteers who are fluent in both English and Spanish, or bilingual with another language who can provide assistance to our clients. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. We ask that volunteers commit to at least 8 hours a month. This is a great opportunity for seniors or individuals are who retired.
