Did you know that April 15th - 21st is National Volunteer Week? There's no better time to take this opportunity to make a difference right here in your OC community.
South County Outreach's mission is to prevent hunger and homelessness by helping people help themselves. Our Food Pantry serves 6,000 people every year, while our housing programs provide thousands of nights of safe housing for homeless families.
We would love to invite you to volunteer in our Food Pantry during National Volunteer Week and see firsthand how our organization helps families in need.
We have volunteer shifts available Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm. Volunteers help us by sorting food in the pantry, stocking shelves, and keeping the Food Pantry clean and organized. To schedule your volunteer shift, please contact Volunteer Manager Amy Swanson at aswanson@sco-oc.org or (949) 380-8144 x 217.
Families with children 10 and older are welcome.

Mission Statement
South County Outreach is a nonprofit organization committed to preventing hunger and homelessness in Orange County by helping people in need help themselves.
Description
South County Outreach (SCO), founded in 1989, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing homeless prevention services to low-income individuals and families in crisis in South Orange County.
Through a variety of programs, South County Outreach gives families in need the help they need and the tools to become self-sufficient. Our Food Pantry distributes nearly one million pounds of emergency, non-perishable and fresh food to an average of 9,000 families annually. Our housing programs provide subsidized housing and professional case management services to local families who are homeless or on the verge of being homeless. Our Computer Learning Lab teaches more than 600 students annually who are unemployed and underemployed to improve their skills and increase job opportunities.
We are a volunteer-based organization with over 250 regularly scheduled volunteers and 1,500 occasional volunteers that help throughout the year.
