Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Do you enjoy the benefits and feelings that come from listening to music? There are Hospice patients who do as well that could use a music lover to spend time listening to music with them. Music Therapy has many benefits for our patients. It is used within a therapeutic relationship to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. Music therapy can have many positive results especially for patients with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Even patients who are in the late stages of dementia can have a personal connection with certain music. Music therapy is a great way to connect with others and we need caring volunteers like you! Come share your love for music with a Hospice patient and help someone in need!
