Family Promise of Central Connecticut is looking for volunteers to assist with grant writing. The Family Promise mission is to help families find permanent, sustainable housing while keeping the family unit intact during the stressful time of being homeless.
As a small, relatively new non-profit, we are in need of funding from a variety of sources and grant-writing is an important part of our overall fund-raising strategy. We are looking for people who have experience in this area to help in our endeavors.
The volunteers with work with the Development Committee Chair to understand how the program works, develop strategy, identifying potential funders and submitting grant applications and performing follow-up as needed.
Work in this area can be done generally at any time during the day (including evenings) and appropriate meetings may be done in person or via phone.
