A compassionate heart and the desire to interact and serve a meal to the homeless and the hungry is all that is required. Service hours are every Monday through Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:15 P.M.; Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Other duties include: Welcoming guests and seating them; working at the door to bring guests into the cafe, rolling silverware, filling bread baskets, filling glasses with ice and beverage.

Trinity Cafe is not a soup kitchen. It is a non-denominational, not-for-profit restaurant. Guests are served in courses on tables decorated with table cloths, floral arrangements, silverware and dishes. Guests are greeted, seated and served a hot, nutritious meal prepared by a five-star chef.

Since 2001 Trinity Cafe has served more than 1.1 million meals to hungry men, women and children. For many of our guests, this is the only meal they will be able to receive in a restaurant type setting. For others it will be their only meal of the day.

32 volunteers are need each day to serve nearly 300 guests. You will be assigned a duty by the daily volunteer coordinator.

Tables are set for six guests and each staffed with two volunteers. One volunteer serves as the table host, sitting at the table and visiting with guests. The other volunteer delivers the food to the table.

You may volunteer one time weekly for about an hour and a half, monthly or occasionally. Individuals and groups are invited. Group sizes are limited.

Ideal for college students and for businesses and offices located in or near the downtown Tampa area.

You will find this a personally rewarding and fulfilling experience.

High School Students? This may be perfect for your summer plans! You must be 16 years old to volunteer.
