ESL Classroom Assistant

This position will support ESL Instructors during classes and provide individualized instruction to learners at different levels.

Duties include:
* Assist learners with tasks during work time
* Work individually with beginning-literacy learners
* Facilitate speaking practice activities for advanced learners
* Help lead small groups during class work time
* Communicate with ESL Instructors about learners' progress and challenges
* Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance
* Help with general classroom tasks as need arises
* One shift per work, Monday-Friday between 9am-12 noon

Qualifications: * Preferred: Current student in TESL minor program * Experience working with English Language Learners, immigrants/refugees, students of color, or low income communities * Ability to respond effectively to individual and cultural needs as well as different learning styles * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Computer experience required
