Join Volunteers for Outdoor California in helping parks damaged by the North Bay Fires. V-O-Cal volunteers will work with the Sonoma Regional Parks & Open Space repair the substantial damage done to Hood Mountain by the fall wildfires. Join over 100 other volunteers in creating safe and sustainable trails in the park. Volunteers will work to expand the trail system at Hood Mountain.
Volunteers are welcome to join us for one day or camp for the weekend. Breakfast and lunch are provided for volunteers Saturday and Sunday, along with a dinner celebration Saturday evening. The nature of V-O-Cal projects allows for volunteers to participate in a number of capacities: trail workers, cooks, kitchen helpers, registration workers, camp managers and tool managers are all needed to make this project a success. We have a role for all ability levels. All tools and training are provided; no experience is necessary. Join us for a single day or the entire weekend!
Camping opens Friday 5/18 at 5pm. The work day begins at 8am on Saturday and 8:30am on Sunday, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to enjoy breakfast and prepare your lunch. More details at http://www.v-o-cal.org/projects/2018/mthood2018.html
