Volunteer Positions

Purple " Mini " Golf Tournament for Epilepsy

Trivia Signs: Create Trivia Signs for Each Hole. Creative, stable, fun and unique signs for our trivia game. We will provide the list of trivia questions. The signs will have the questions only (no answers), large readable font, signs should be approximately 6-9" tall x 18" wide and will be attached to a stake to be placed in the ground/grass at each hole on the course, so please construct with a sturdy material. - This job can be done by multiple people. You can do 1 sign or as many as you want. 1 sign = 2 volunteer service hour.


Awards: Create Funny Awards or Trophies. Something themed, cute, funny and cheap. incorporate golf and logo/or butterflies. We will be presenting these trophies to the winners at the awards banquet following the tournament. The award names will be fun and creative, and silly, some examples of award names are Best Theme, Most Spirit, Most Purple, Lowest Score, Highest Score. We are going to be having a social media contest to get more name suggestions, but we are open to your suggestions as well. - This job can be done by multiple people. You can create 1 award or as many as you want. 1 award = 2 hours



Press Release: Create and send out press release to local news sources in Southern California, Irvine, Buena Park, Orange County, Etc. Will give you actual hours worked. At least 5 hours for this task


Social Media Posts: We will provide pictures for the posts or you can share the Facebook Event Page. Posts Must tag @Talent4Epilepsy on post and in picture (Instagram) and use all the hashtags #talent4epilepsy #epilepsyawarenss #talent4epilepsyrox #t4esupercool #fightthestigma #purplepower #purplegolf #purplewarriors. . 1 post = 1-hour



Ticket Sales: Ticket Sales 1 Ticket = 2-hours Volunteer Service. Promote ticket sales to your friends, family and community. When participants purchase tickets, they can write in your name in the referral box and you will get credit.




Sponsors & Donations: Ask local businesses for donations of items needed for the event. Each Sponsor = 5 Hours Volunteer Service. (Supplies, hole sponsorships, swag, silent auction, raffle and prizes for tournament winners. We will provide a list of supplies we need. 1-hole sponsor = 1 hour. Silent Auction Sponsor minimum value of $20 for volunteer hours. Prizes for Award Winners: Minimum value of $5. Ex: Gift Cards, promo products, toys, games, etc. Swag sponsors need to provide 200 items : Ex of places to get swag donations Wetzel’s Pretzels, food places, clothing stores, local family businesses, cosmetic stores, stores in the mall, banks, event places (medieval times), clothing stores.) - This job can be done by multiple people and we need a lot of people to jump on this one


Flyers: Distribute flyers throughout orange county. Some examples of places to hang the flyers/signs are coffee shops, grocery stores, malls, dance studios, golf courses, parks, community centers, local business, etc. (distribute flyers in 1 location = 5 hours of volunteer service, take a picture as proof. This is actually really easy to do. Just keep the flyers with you or in your car and when you go out to the mall, dinner, lunch, shopping, to the park or anywhere, just ask if you can post or leave flyers.) - This job can be done by multiple people and we need a lot of people to jump on this one.


Silent Auction: Take over, organize, run silent auction. Create Baskets, fun names for items, silent auction sheets, and run auction at the event. - This is a good Team or Group assignment. Donation of $20 = 2 hours volunteer service, $30 = 3 hours volunteer service, $40 = 4 hours volunteer service, $50 = 5 hours volunteer service, and so on with a max limit of 500 hours of volunteer service for this task.


Raffle: Get donations of raffle prizes . purchase all supplies, raffle tickets, jars, etc. organize raffle before event and at the event. In charge of Raffle volunteers and 50/50 raffle as well as trivia game raffle. - This is a good Team or Group assignment. Donation of $20 = 2 hours volunteer service, $30 = 3 hours volunteer service, $40 = 4 hours volunteer service, $50 = 5 hours volunteer service, and so on with a max limit of 500 hours of volunteer service for this task.


Characters: Book Characters for Event. (Suggestions for places to get characters include: Medieval Times, Princesses, Sports Team Mascots, College Team Mascots, Local Characters (ex: lil' sebastian) - This is a good Team or Group assignment. Characters must be approved by director and committee. You can receive up to 5 hours for each character booked.


Decorations: Plan, purchase, organize and place all decorations at the event (banquet hall). Ask local businesses for donations of decorations for the event - This is a good Team or Group assignment. You will be given a budget for these items and you can use your creativity to plan out the decorations for the event. You will be reimbursed for your purchases of decorations and supplies, receipts required. Please stay within budget. You will be given actual hours worked. This includes planning organizing, buying, and day of event decorating.


Volunteer Coordinator: Recruit volunteers (SM, Vol Match, Kohls, Disney, etc), assign tasks, coordinate and direct volunteers at the event. Confirm volunteer hours, Distribute volunteer letters. - This is a good Team or Group assignment
