Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Mentor2.0 matches high school students from Atlas Preparatory School with college-educated mentors in the Colorado Springs community, providing the students with support and guidance through their high school career to prepare them for the future.
The majority of the mentorship is conducted over a secure online platform (iMentor), as a "pen pal mentorship." This allows for busy professionals to flex their time-investment around their schedules. In addition, there are monthly events for in-person mentoring hosted at Atlas Preparatory School and facilitated by Big Brothers Big Sisters Pikes Peak.
Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have some kind of post-secondary education or certification, and be able to pass an extensive background check.
*This program is our biggest need for volunteers
Mentor2.0 is a great program for businesses or companies who want their employees to volunteer in the community. For the monthly meetings, co-workers and colleagues could all leave work and attend together.
Please consider volunteering today! Also, please spread the word about this program!
