Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council is in need of your help to support our outreach programs in our Title 1 schools the Power of Girls and GGB programs at our 2018 Camp Extravaganza event!
Support our Girl Scouts as they learn and enjoy the outdoors at Girl Scout Camp. No experience in outdoors needed. Just come and enjoy the fresh air and working with our girls!
** Lunch is included for all volunteers**
Volunteer duties will include some of the following:
Archery
You will assist the Archery Facilitator in keeping girls organized and paying attention to directions and helping get wrist guards on campers. No Archery experience necessary!
Boating
You will assist the Waterfront Facilitator in keeping girls organized and listening to safety rules and instruction, helping get life jackets on and assisting with loading and un-loading of boats. No experience required!
Kitchen
You will be working in the commercial kitchen helping with meal prep, help serving meals, dish washing, preparing snack bags etc.
You must have closed toed shoes, and wear a hair covering like bandana or hat.

Here at the Girl Scouts, Hornets’ Nest Council our girls get their hands dirty with bugs and bones, put their minds to work on science and engineering projects, challenge their body and minds with challenge courses and 5k’s, help breast cancer patients survive their toughest moments, and build lasting relationships with fellow Girl Scouts. We serve extraordinary girls in Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York counties and we are always in need of extraordinary adults to help our girls reach their full potential.
