SeniorServ is looking for a friendly visitor for a senior couple in Anaheim. As a friendly visitor, you visit in the home of the older adults and offer conversation, friendship, and understanding. A commitment of one to two hours per week is all that is expected, which may not seem like much to you, but it will mean the world to this couple. He has nerve pain and weakness and suffers with Alzheimers and she is suffering from a great deal of stress. They need help with paperwork and setting appointments.
As a volunteer you will be a part of SeniorServ, who provides services for over 900 homebound seniors in Orange County, to help seniors remain as independent as possible. SeniorServ's mission is to nourish the wellness, purpose, and dignity of seniors and their families in our community. The Friendly Visitor Program is an important part of that mission.
