The Youth Tutoring Program is seeking a skilled social media volunteer! Use your expertise to support academic success for youth living in low-income housing!
Project
We are looking for an experienced social media volunteer to review our social media strategy including style, tone, and types of content to best promote our organization. Ultimately, we want to build a plan outlining the most appropriate social media channels for our organization, strategies for usage, goals, and key metrics to evaluate success.
We recently redesigned our logo and feel like we have a marketable brand. We currently have a FB page, Twitter account, and YouTube channel. We use HootSuite to post on twitter and FB and have a basic social media plan. We need support developing that plan including a set of posts that could be used throughout the year to increase presence and giving.
YTP’s Mission
The Youth Tutoring Program (YTP) supports students to overcome educational opportunity gaps by providing one-on-one tutoring at six low-income housing communities in Seattle. YTP students come from families facing the challenges of financial need, racism, and limited English proficiency. We depend on our dedicated volunteers and donors to successfully serve our students. If we can attract more volunteers and donors, we can not only serve more students but also cater to our students better. We believe, if used correctly, social media could help us reach more potential supporters.
