Allegheny Land Trust and Allegheny Cleanways are partnering up to clean up the Barking Slopes Conservation Area.
Volunteers will be working from the land and water via our boat, the Rachel Carson, to remove trash that has accumulated along the riverfront.
All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes or boots and long pants. We also recommend a long-sleeved shirt to avoid being scratched or coming in contact with poison ivy.
As always, we will provide refreshments, work gloves, safety glasses, and all other necessary tools and materials. Please be sure to bring your reusable water bottle!

ALT is a land trust that conserves green space in communities in Allegheny County and its environs. As a land trust we focus our attention on properties that provide three major benefits: biodiversity, water quality and protection and scenic beauty. The majority of our lands are open to the public for passive recreation 365 days a year. We manage and enhance these properties through volunteer efforts and community support.
