Woodworkers! Build a raised garden for our elderly residents!

Summer is coming, and for many people that means... GARDENING!!!! At The Villas at Sunny Acres, we have a lot of wheelchair-bound, elderly residents who are life-long gardeners, but who can't garden in the traditional way anymore. So, we are looking for some handy volunteers to build raised table garden beds for our residents so they can do some therapeutic gardening through the summer! This is a great project for wood-workers, or also a great team-building volunteer project. To be clear, we are expecting volunteers to build the garden beds at their own home, then deliver to the facility. We have a materials list and plans for the basic type of garden bed we're looking for, though we're also flexible if you have some better ideas! :) Please let me know if you're interested, and I'll send you the link for materials and plans to see if it's a good fit. Our activities department is able to contribute about $50 toward materials, fyi, although it is expected (hoped!) volunteers will also donate a small amount toward materials. Thanks for your interest!
