Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back? Do you want to help others and at the same time, face new personal experiences or challenges? Do you desire to learn more about end-of-life issues? Our volunteers add to the quality of a patient's time at the end of life's journey with weekly visits. No special skills needed. Typical companionship activities include visiting, reading, and providing general support to the patient and his/her family. Training is provided in our Flower Mound office. The next training will take place on Sat., 2/1/20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will include lunch. Please contact us if you are interested in attending.

After training, volunteers are matched to patients located near them, all over the metroplex. We frequently have patients in Allen and McKinney, and not many volunteers from those areas, so the need there is great. No need to travel to Flower Mound except for the training date and one follow-up visit. (However, volunteers are always welcome to stop in and visit as often as they'd like!)
