Are you a creative, fun individual who enjoys working with kids? Summer Cafe locations provide free meals to kids and teens in the Flagstaff area without needing proof of residency or income. When activities are provided at summer food sites, the sites become a fun and safe environment for children to engage with friends. The more fun a site is, the more likely it is that children will come back to access the free, nutritious meals. As a volunteer, you will help increase program participation by providing fun, educational, and engaging activities for children, ages 5-12, at Summer Cafe locations. Volunteers can even be involved in creating and planning these fun activities! Locations are found throughout Flagstaff at kid-friendly sites. Volunteers will serve at one of these assigned places during breakfast or lunch meal hours.

Description
St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, the world’s first food bank, is a non-sectarian, nonprofit organization that alleviates hunger by efficiently gathering and distributing food to the hungry. Serving two-thirds of Arizona’s 15 counties, the organization is committed to volunteerism, building community relationships and improving the quality of life for Arizonans in need. Our goal is to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency, collaboration, advocacy and education.
We work with businesses and farms to collect food and distribute it throughout Northern Arizona through over 85 local agencies.
Our Flagstaff facility distributes over one million pounds of food every month! In our warehouse we need dedicated volunteers to help pack emergency food boxes, hand out food carts to our clients, and assist with general warehouse duties that allow us to ship food out throughout Northern Arizona.
