Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive walk to help fight breast cancer and provide hope to people facing the disease. Your participation as a volunteer will support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving research, prevention, early detection, and support programs for thousands of patients and their families.
Volunteer Development:
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a large-scale fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Volunteers are the heart and soul of the event and are absolutely necessary to make the event happen! The Volunteer Lead works in partnership with the ACS staff partner to ensure that enough volunteers are recruited to help before, during, and after the MSABC event. This person is responsible for recruiting, coordinating and training volunteers for the day of the event. Attends monthly leadership meetings, optional online trainings, attend kick-off and walk and help with set up and clean up, recruit for walk, and raise funds.
