On behalf of over 4,500 athletes and their families in the state of Kansas, we'd like to invite you to be a part of our largest event of the year - Summer Games 2018! This year's games will from June 1-3 and for the first time, the games will be held at Maize South High School!
Special Olympics transform lives through the thrill of competing, the challenge of falling behind, the friendships that are made and the joy that comes with achieving your best.
We are looking for individuals, groups and companies that want to assist us in running our 2018 Summer Games which includes track and field, swimming, tennis and cycling competitions from June 1-3 in Maize. There are a variety of times and responsibilities to fit most interests and time availability. Special Olympics Kansas is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports competitions, health and nutrition programs and leadership development. Offering year-round initiatives to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics Kansas is a platform for acceptance and inclusion as well as one of the largest advocates for healthy lifestyles in the state - regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or cultural differences.
