Lantern Community Services champions the independence and well-being of New Yorkers who are formerly homeless or have recently aged out of foster care recreate their lives. Our programs with proven results in health, employment, education and life skills are delivered inside our residences and tailored to each person’s needs.
Lantern is looking for volunteers who can give 2 hours each week to help serve lunch to the residents who live in Lantern’s supportive housing. This is a great way connect with our residents! This opportunity is available immediately, and in three of our locations:
- Bushwick location: Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 12pm - 1pm
- Washington Heights location: Wednesdays and/or Fridays, 12pm - 1pm
- West Bronx location: Wednesdays, 12pm - 1pm
All of Lantern’s locations are accessible by public transportation.
Great Lantern volunteers are non-judgmental, reliable, and really care about the problem of homelessness in New York City. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you!
If you are interested, please contact Volunteer@lanterncommunity.org with your availability.
