Formed in the aftermath of Tuesday’s September 11 th , Tuesday’s Children is dedicated to providing a lifetime of healing to individuals and communities around the world whose lives have been forever changed by terrorism, war and traumatic loss. Take Our Children to Work Day is one of the organization’s largest annual events. This event will take place on Thursday, April 26 th in New York City, Washington DC, Boston, and Jacksonville, Florida. Take Our Children to Work Day offers a unique opportunity for children impacted by terrorism and war to participate in a valuable workplace experience that allows them to envision their future through a practical, hands-on work day in an industry of interest to them. Past participating companies include: Etsy, the National Hockey League, Tradeweb, Lokai, LinkedIn, Youtube, the Mets and many more!
We are looking for chaperones who can spend the day with our kids in New York City. Chaperones accompany a group of children to and from their assigned placements, and remain at the placement for the duration of the program. Chaperones will need to meet at a location in Midtown Manhattan on the morning of Thursday, April 26 th to meet their groups. Breakfast will be provided. From this location you will take your small group of participants to their company for the day.
