Restore Hiking Trails at Beautiful Eagle Peak Preserve

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The San Diego River Park Foundation

You can help care for the hiking trails at Eagle Peak Ranch! This is your chance to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors while working with like-minded folks to care for our open spaces. Scenery and wildlife abound with views of Santa Ysabel, Cuyamaca Peak and the San Diego River Gorge!

Volunteers will help to enhance and improve hiking opportunities at Eagle Peak Ranch through a fun and rewarding trail maintenance project. Tasks will include trail surveys, tamping, and digging.

Please wear long pants, close-toed shoes (tennis shoes or hiking boots) and layers. Bring AT LEAST 32 oz. of water to drink and a snack. Please be aware that this is a remote location with no cell service. Also be aware that you may be working near poison oak. All supplies will be provided. Community service hours may be verified.

This project takes place about 1.5 hours by car from central San Diego. The preserve is located on Eagle Peak Road 3 miles before the intersection of Pine Hills Road and Eagle Peak Road. Special instructions on access and parking at the preserve will be provided upon RSVP. Carpool available.

To learn more or RSVP, please email volunteer@sandiegoriver.org or call (619) 297-7380.
