The Minnesota Literacy Council’s Diversity and Inclusion committee is planning listening sessions with our adult learners, volunteers and VISTA members. These sessions are working toward our goal to ensure input from employees, volunteers and learners shape our organization’s initiatives, monitoring and evaluation.

We are seeking volunteers to take notes during listening sessions. No previous experience necessary, and all materials are provided.

Qualifications:

- Computer and typing skills to capture feedback electronically during session (computers will be provided)

- Good written communication skills

- Dependable, prompt and able to maintain confidentiality

- Ability to relate to and work with people from diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities include:

- Arrive on time

- Follow provided notetaking guidelines

- Take notes in provided template and computer

Founded in 1972, Literacy Minnesota is Minnesota's only non-profit, volunteer-based, education provider that operates statewide. Through a network of over 100 community and school-based programs, we provide free classes for individuals lacking the most basic reading, writing and English-speaking skills. We serve both native-born Americans and refugees and immigrants.
