ORGANIZATION: Cancer Wellness House

The Cancer Wellness House provides services to improve the quality of life and well- being for those who have been affected by Cancer. This includes current Cancer Patients, Survivors, and their caregivers.

This position would include offering at least 4 hours a month to providing massage services to our cancer community. Currently the Cancer Wellness House offers little to no cost for our services and we are looking for facilitators to join our team and help provide services to those who need them.

Cancer can be draining and will cause a lot of harm to a person both mentally and physically. At the Cancer Wellness House we help people realize they are not alone on their journey and help them with the physical pain that comes from treatment and cancer.

Cancer Wellness House programs:
Address reactions to diagnosis and treatment, such as loss of control, hopelessness, unwanted aloneness, strained family and social interaction, role changes, financial decisions, fatigue, depression.
Bring individuals who have had similar experiences together to promote friendship and camaraderie, decrease fear and uncertainty, offer hope, and encourage activity throughout the cancer experience.
