Official Host/Hostess of the VA Medical Center are referred to as Red Coat Ambassadors and provide a positive, personal first impression. They foster a culture of care and a welcoming environment helping to improve the Veteran Experience. In general, Red Coat Ambassadors perform the following duties:

  • Greet Veterans, guests, and staff upon entry to the facility
  • Provide information and guidance to Veterans and guests, when needed
  • Execute service recovery prior to departure
  • Ensure safety with assistance, when needed
  • Escorts Veterans and guests to clinical areas and departments
  • Complete and submit End of Day feedback logs
  • May be asked to serve as an Information Desk Representative volunteer
