Official Host/Hostess of the VA Medical Center are referred to as Red Coat Ambassadors and provide a positive, personal first impression. They foster a culture of care and a welcoming environment helping to improve the Veteran Experience. In general, Red Coat Ambassadors perform the following duties:
- Greet Veterans, guests, and staff upon entry to the facility
- Provide information and guidance to Veterans and guests, when needed
- Execute service recovery prior to departure
- Ensure safety with assistance, when needed
- Escorts Veterans and guests to clinical areas and departments
- Complete and submit End of Day feedback logs
- May be asked to serve as an Information Desk Representative volunteer
