A volunteer is needed to assist with weekly marketing activities for the Treasure Trove thrift store. The volunteer assistant would post multiple times each week on Facebook and Instagram. The volunteer would assist the staff in circulating online listings and maintaining the store’s website and volunteer listings. Hours are flexible, but the position would likely require 2-4 hours each week. Must have transportation.

Warm Hearth Village has been a refuge for seniors in need, helping them find a safe and comfortable place to live and even providing them with healthcare services when they are unable to pay.

Description

Proceeds from the Treasure Trove Thrift Store benefits the Warm Hearth Foundation's Neighbors in Need Fund. The Neighbors in Need Fund provides day-to-day support for residents who have "spent down" their estates and can no longer afford the full cost of their care. Each year the cost to provide this care is in excess of $500,000. Residents in Showalter Center and the Kroontje Health Care Center receive this financial assistance in a seamless and confidential manner.

Treasure Trove Thrift Store, located on the Warm Hearth Village campus and in Christiansburg, is a great place to shop, volunteer, and donate! Come discover great deals on jewelry, artwork, household items and vintage pieces. We are always accepting donations! Treasure Trove is a great place to volunteer, and we offer a range of opportunities to meet your skill set and availability!
