Storytellers provide a positive, personal experience for inpatients of the VA Medical Center. They foster a culture of care and a healing environment helping to improve the Veteran Experience. In general, Storytellers perform the following duties:
- Provide a genuine greeting to Veterans and guests
- Participate in appropriate dialogue with Veterans and guests
- Engage with Veterans by reading published works (books, magazines, etc.)
- Provide comfort and companionship to Veteran and guests, when needed
