Do you want to make an impact on the next generation of leaders?
Help us prepare today's youth to have successful financial futures!
Junior Achievement's mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. We do this by sending trained volunteers into the classroom to facilitate our pre-planned activities on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.
It would not be possible to serve nearly 50,000 students in the classroom each year without committed volunteer mentors just like you.
You will make a difference in the lives of a classroom of students! Volunteer mentors are the magic behind our programs. In fact, 1 in 3 JA alumni credits their JA experience to influencing their career decision. AND, 1 in 5 JA alumni has gone on to work in the field of their JA volunteer!
Are you in?
We are looking for volunteers to teach our programs in 7th and 8th grade classrooms at Balsz Elementary on Friday, May 11th. Volunteers will be needed from 7:00am-2:45pm. We like to partner two volunteers together to co-teach our pre-planned lessons so let us know if you have a friend/co-worker you would like to bring with you!
Time Commitment:
Attend a one-time volunteer training at our Tempe office to review the provided teaching materials!
Teach one full school day on May 11th!
Help a classroom of students harness their potential - SIGN UP TODAY!

Mission Statement
Junior Achievement: Empowering young people to own their economic success.
Description
Did you know that the majority of Arizona CEOs believe employees lack critical skills that are needed to succeed in the workplace? More than half of adults under 30 do not keep a personal budget, their average debt is over $45,000, and 12% of them don’t even have a job.
It’s our responsibility to empower future generations - to equip them with the skills and knowledge to be successful and pursue their dreams. These are our kids, grandchildren, our future colleagues, and community leaders. The success of our economy depends on their preparedness.
With the support of thousands of education, business, and volunteer partners, we are giving kids the tools to succeed. Our volunteer mentors from the community teach students about the importance of money management, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurial thinking. Arming today’s youth with this critical education will result in less financial instability and debt, a better-trained workforce, a more robust economy, and healthier families.
