Attend this fair at The Newton to learn more about the different ways that you can be involved with Girls Rock! Phoenix Summer Camp 2018! You'll also get to meet some of our current volunteers who will answer all your questions and help get you signed up!
What is Girls Rock Camp?
Our mission is to empower girls through music education, creation, and performance. We do this through our summer rock camp for girls, trans (regardless of identity), and gender nonconforming youth. Campers will learn a rock instrument, form a band, write an original song, and perform it at the end of the week. We are 100% volunteer-run, not-for-profit, and a 501c3 organization. Our planning team is made up of musicians, community organizers, educators, and other folks interested in encouraging girls to rock.
Camp Details:
June 11-15, 2018 8:30am - 5:00pm (time commitment varies)
Band Showcase:
June 16, 2018 2pm
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Instrument Instructors (Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Keyboard, Voice, Drum Set)
- Band Coach (Musical Experience Required)
- Band Manager/Camp Counselor
- Workshop Leader
- Mental Health/Feelings Crew
- Gear Team (set up, movement, and maintenance of musical instruments)
- Foodie Crew
- Front Desk Crew
- Crafty Crew

At Girls Rock! Phoenix, our mission is to empower girls through music education, creation, and performance. We are part of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance ( girlsrockcampalliance.org), an international coalition of almost 100 similar programs. We are 100% volunteer-run, not-for-profit, and a 501c3 organization. Our planning team is made up of musicians, community organizers, educators, and other folks interested in encouraging girls to rock.
