Looking for a fun way for a group to get involved with youth?
Best Friends offers Waiting List activities to youth who are waiting to be matched with a Best Friends mentor. These activities keep the youth in our programs engaged while waiting for a mentor.
Best Friends likes to offer at least 4-5 activities each year. These events are sponsored by the group facilitating the activity. The sponsoring group is responsible for all admission prices, any snacks they choose to offer and if need be, any transportation costs. (Many activities do not include transportation unless it's a larger event further away.)
A Best Friends staff will always be in attendance to help facilitate. Groups of 10-20 people can coordinate the activity with Maia Van Groll. The group can choose any activity and plan the event as they wish! These activities are typically 2-3 hours in duration (unless it's a larger event.)
Ideas include but are not limited to laser tag, mini golf, bowling, scavenger hunt in a park, business or YMCA, Barlow Planetarium show, snowshoeing, pumpkin carving, relay races/minute to win it game day, art activities (paint a flower pot, build a birdhouse, tie-dye activities), sledding, or STEM activity day.
Or other larger event activity ideas include a trip to Bay Beach, trip to Green Bay Titletown district, Brewer game, Gambler's game, Timber rattler game, a trip to the NEW Zoo, etc...

Mission Statement
"To help young people thrive through the power of mentoring friendships and supportive family networks."
Description
Best Friends of Neenah-Menasha is a 501(c)(3) youth serving organization. Founded in 1973 by the YWCA, Big Sisters of Neenah-Menasha emerged because mentoring opportunities did not exist for girls. It was not until the early 80's that our organization began to serve boys. In August of 1984, after much consideration, we changed our name to Best Friends of Neenah-Menasha and opened up our program to both boys and girls!
As a partner agency of United Way Fox Cities and with strong support from the community we are here today, proudly serving the children and families of the Neenah-Menasha area.
